We’re sure you’re all very sensible and everything, but it wouldn’t be proper for us to send you out into the wilderness without a few cautionary points. Always be mindful of your own safety and general etiquette:

Take a fully charged mobile phone to keep in touch

Have access to a
small first aid kit

Where applicable stick to pavements and footpaths

Be considerate of other walkers and don’t forget to say hello

Leave things as you find them

Don’t litter

Keep pets under control

Beware of encroaching in the territory of wildlife, cattle and other farm animals

Don’t let children wander off

Be aware of weather conditions

If walking at night on a road, make sure you wear light-coloured or reflective clothing

Familiarise yourself with the Countryside Code
